Hello,

Hopefully you are all doing well. I apologise, due to my summer holiday I forgot to announce the winner of the latest Altenew Blog Hop. Here is the winner chosen by random generator.

Great cards. Love all the little onsies. Your pansy is definitely very realistic. Thanks for the tip on how to color it - it's beautiful.

Congratulations Troy! Please contact Altenew at winner@altenew.com by 8/31/2017 with the subject line Altenew July 2017 Release Blog Hop Winner from Marika's Blog.

Have a great day!

Altenew July 2017 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Today, I'm participating Altenew July 2017 Release Blog Hop. If you came, from Lilith Eeckles blog you're on the right track, if not please start at the beginning from Altenew Card Blog.

I made my cards using Little one and Pretty pansies stamp sets. Here are my projects:

In this card I used very simple copic colouring. To add some detail, I added a little bit of Wink of Stella on the baby bodies and stamped the little dots to the background. Quick and easy to do!

On this card I used my second to favourite colouring technique. First I stamped the pansy flower with three different shades of Altenew inks and then added details with coloured pencils. It looks quite real, doesn't it? If you are thinking of trying out this technique, this stamp set is perfect for practising it.

Copics, inks and Polychromos used:

Copics: YG63 - YG0000 - G43

Polychromos: Juniper green (165), Naples yellow (185), Cold grey V (234), Black (199), Red violet (194), Mauve (249), Purple violet (156), and Earth green yellowish (168).

Altenew crisp inks: Midnight violet, Rose quant, Puffed heart, Lavender fields, Soft lilac, Coral berry, Forest glades, Frayed leaf, and Deep iris.

Card Stock: Neenah solar white.

Altenew May 2017 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

    Hello,

Today, I'm participating Altenew May 2017 Release Blog Hop. If you came, from Kavitha's blog you're on the right track, if not please start at the beginning from Altenew blog.

I used Under the Cherry Blossoms Tree stamp set to create my card. Here's my project:

I stamped the braches with Buttercream Altenew Crisp Die ink. Although the branches overlapped, I didn't use any masking since I was going to colour them up anyway. I laid my base layer with copics and added sharp details with coloured pencils over the copic layer. I list all the colours that used below if you are interested on exact colors I used.

For the butterflies, I used an older stamp set (which is still one of my all time favourite Altenew stamp sets) and stamped with the same Buttercream ink onto a piece of white card stock. I coloured the butteflies with copics and coloured pencils. I used a piece of foam tape and liquid glue to adhere the butterflies and stamped the sentiment from the same Under the Cherry Blossoms Tree stamp set with black pigment ink. I used pigment ink to ensure good stamping over the coloured images. Here's a close-up of the butterflies. I also stamped a little falling pedals with Peach Perfect Altenew Crisp ink. To finish up my card I adhere da piece of Cherry Wood card stock.

    Copics and Polychromous used:
    Copics: E000 - Y21 - Y23 - E42 – E40

Polychromos: Ivory (1039, Light Flesh (132), Medium Flesh (131), Pompeian Red (191), Burnt Ochre (187), Cadmiun Orange (111), Raw Umber (180), Walnut Brown (177)

    Inks: Buttercream Altenew Crisp Ink
Card Stock: Cherry Wood Altenew Card Stock

    PRIZES
