Peonies with copics and coloured pencils

Hello!

Today I'm at the Altenew blog to feature Peony Bouquet stamp set. I used no-line colouring technique with copic markers and coloured pencils.



I also made this into a video tutorial, hopefully you'll find the time to watch it and find it helpful. You can watch it here or in HD in YouTube.





Supplies:

Stamps: Peony Bouquet and Birthday Greetings set from Altenew.
Inks: Frosty Pink Altenew Crisp Ink, Versafine Onyx Black ink
Paper: Woodgrain card stock from Altenew (to be released in a few weeks), Peach textured card stock from Paper Mania
Clear Dull Embossing Powder from WOW!


Copic Markers: Reddish Pink: R00 - R21 - R32, Green: YG91 -YG 93 - YG95



Faber Castell Polychrome Pencils: Light Flesh (132), Medium Flesh (131), Dark Red (225), May Green (170), Greem Yellowish (168), Chromium Green Opaque (174).

  1. Oh my gosh Marika, how gorgeous is this card!!! I love your technique of coloring with markers and pencils, I love doing this as you get the best texture and shadows this way. The petals of your flowers look alive, you can almost smell the aroma from this beautiful blooms.
    I've been saving some money on my crafting piggy bank I have in my craft room, to buy the Faber Castell Polychromos, I'm almost there!! I'm getting the 60 piece set, I've read that getting the 72 piece is really not necessary.
    Thank you so much for sharing this amazing video Marika, as always, you totally amaze me with your impeccable coloring skills.
    Oh, and your paper snipping skills too!! I thought you cut this flowers with a die until I saw you doing this with your scissors, simply outstanding!!!

  10. The combination of Copics and Faber Castell pencils work beautifully together Marika and the result is gorgeous! I always watch your videos and am always wowed by the detail you get into your flowers and I like the way you have made the row of flowers as a border. x
