Today I'm participating Altenew's 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop. If you came from Raquel Bowman 's Blog you are on the right track, if not please start at the Altenew blog.
Congratulations Altenew, it's been a real delight to see Altenew turn such a succesful crafting company. Altenew has such a unique style in its products and I really love to play with them. To celebrate Altenew's success I was inspired by spring (which is finally about to come to the Arctic Circle as well). I used some of the older products and combined them to the newer products. Here we go:
I started with the Garden Treasure stamp set. I used Morning Frost Altenew Crisp ink to stamp the flowers. I love to use this very light, warm gray ink to stamp my images when I do no-line colouring. Instead using my go-to-colouring-method, I used only coloured pencils today. I usually combine them to copics or Altenew Artist Markers but today I wanted to use only my Polychromo pencils. I list the colours below if you are interested in the exact colours I used.
Then I die cut the flowers from Garden Treasure stamp set with co-ordinating dies to create masks for my flowers. Die cut flowers are a bit bigger than actual stamped/coloured but it doesn't matter since you can colour the missing parts when you add details to your branches. I stamped the same branch twice and made it to look like one big branch. I used Limestone Altenew Crisp Ink to stamp the branches from Winter Cardinal stamp set.
Then I stamped with the Limestone ink a butterfly from a older set called Wild Hibiscus and die cut it with co-ordinating die. Here is a close up of the butterfly.
To finish my card I stamp a sentiment from Beautiful Quotes stamp set with Pure Graphite Altenew Crisp Ink (my new favourite sentiment colour by the way). Then I added a string of Real Grey Altenew card stock to the bottom of my card and added a few sequins to add a little magic. :)
Faber Castell Polychromo pencils used: Ivory (103), Light Flesh (132), Medium Flesh (131), Burnt Ochre (187), Green Gold (268), Dark Sepia (175), Earth Green (172), Earth Green Yellowish (168), Warm Grey III (272), Cold Grey III (252), Cold Grey IV (233) and Cold Grey (234)
Derwent Coloursoft pencils used: White (C720)
