A new Stacey Yacula stamp release from Purple Onion Designs

Good afternoon,

I have great news to those of you who love Stacey Yacula's stamps from Purple Onion Designs. This next Monday, the 25th of May, Purple Onion is releasing a new collection of stamps by her. The new collection will cover almost every holiday, special occasion and celebration throughout the year.  The collection consists of 25 images and a sentiment set with 20 different sentiments. The newest collection is called Sweet Occasions.

I had been lucky enough to be part of the celebration of this new release and I got to play with a few of the stamps already. Michele, is showing examples what the DT made and mine is also their among those absolutely amazing ladies. SO head over to Purple Onion Designs blog to see the DT creations. When you're over there, please leave a comment and be eligible to win the entire new collection of stamps. Isn't it amazing!?! Also, Stacey Yacula, is giving away a collection of stamps and there are also smaller giveaways on some of the DT's blogs. Make sure you check them out!!

Here is my card for today:

Instructions: I just thought this adorable image, called Daisy, is perfect for a new baby card. I stamped the image with black pigment ink and then drew the little scene with my pencil. Then I watercolored the images with my watercolour set. After it had completely dried, I drew black lines over my watercolored background with a alcohol marker. I die cut the tag and an extra tag out of some white fun foam. I adhered those two together. I stamped the sentiment using Stamp-A-Magij from the Sweet occasions sentiment set with black pigment ink. I added a bow made from white paper string and adhered the watercoloured panel to a my card base, to where I had adhered those little stripes of designer's paper.

I like how this card came together and I had tons of fun making that background. I hope you got a little inspiration and try to draw your own background. It is so much fun!! I am so keen on doing that at the moment, that I really should focus myself trying to do some other things too. LOL. Next I have little sneak for you, remember to come back on Monday to see the entire collection of stamps and this card with this little fella sitting in a tree.

Muse Challenge #105

Good Afternoon!

This is my entry to the Muse Challenge #105.
You all know by now that I adore Dawn's watercolouring and her illustrations. When I saw her wall art made with Pick of the Litter- stamp set few weeks ago I got this little idea if I could make one of my own - I mean use a stamp as my focal point and then watercolour the background. It took me a few weeks to finally take a brush into my hand try. Here is my creation. The stamp is from Penny Black a stamp set called Bundle of Joy. Very cute images all of them, I should use them more often.

I was inspired by this week's Muse card by Marion Vagg. I love her simple design and thought it would be perfect for a little watercolouring at the centre. Since this card is for a baby boy I first thought I would make the card base blue like Marion but then I loved the white-on-white- effect. I started with stamping the baby hedgehog onto a piece of watercolour paper with Versafine Onyx Black. Then I watercoloured the background and the hedgehog with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour set. I dry embossed the background with my Big Shot, I can't remember the name or the manufacturer of the embossing folder. Sorry. I added a little paper twine bow to get some interest. I felt that this card doesn't need a sentiment since it is my first freehand watercolour "painting" I wanted to leave it as it is.

Thank you for visiting. Have a great day!

OCC Stretch your stamps 2 - Graphic stamps.

Hello to everyone and thanks for stopping by. Today is the day 8 at the Stretch your stamps 2 OCC. Today we were to play with graphic stamps. This topic was quite hard since I really not own any that kind of stamps that they used in the class. Well I went to my stash and chose the ones that resembled nearest being graphic-style stamps. The first one was inspired by Kristina Werner's card: repeated stamping with ombre colours. I think it came out nicely but this style of card is not my favourite.

The second card for today was inspired by Taheerah Atchia's watercolour stamping. I tried it out but it didn't work as wanted so I stamped another colour on top. I thought, it was my stamp to blame and I tried it again but the result was the same. I still really like to look of a welcome baby card. One of my favourite.

The last one for today was inspired by Kelly Rasmussen's idea of creating a border with stamps. My sister likes this kind of stuff and I really like how it turned to be and how it yells my sister to have it on her birthday.

Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!
