Good Morning Everyone,

Today I'm sharing two of my favourite cards from this Guest Design work for Penny Black. I kind of had this colourless month of June and these tone-on-tone flowers just became my favorite. Here's the sneaks for today's cards. To see the full cards, please visit Penny Black blog.

I also put my camera rolling while making the first card. You can watch it here or in HD in YouTube. Hopefully you find it helpful and try this technique while making your Christmas cards.

  2. Gorgeous! I love tone on tone colouring. Love that you used pencil crayons too. I've done this a few times myself but not with a Christmas card. I may have to follow in your footsteps cause your cards turned out simply stunning! :-)

  5. Beautiful card and amazing coloring!!! I love that you use a lot your Inktense pencils and I was so happy when I saw that you have Coloursoft, too... Please give me your thoughts on Derwent Coloursoft in comparison with Prismacolor or Polychromos. I really want to buy the Coloursoft 72 set, but I don't know if they're good (I can't afford Prismacolors or Polychromos :( ) ... Thank you! Hugs xx

  6. This is one of the most unique and gorgeous coloring techniques that I have seen in a long time...I don't know if I'll be able to achieve even close to the same look as you did here, but this will definitely be the technique I try on my Christmas cards this year. Thank you so much for sharing!

  7. Dear Marika,
I LOVE these two cards! I'm defenitely not in a christmas mood yet, because here in Switzerland we have around 35 degree celsius - so way too hot for christmas cards :-)
but after watching your video I thought, maybe I will give it a try :-)
So thanks again for the typical "Marika magic"!!!

  13. Oh Marika!! I LOVE this. I cannot believe you just used the "shadows" to create this masterpiece. Only a true artist can do something like this. That would not be me. I want to be you when I grow up!!
