Good morning!
My card for CASE Study Challenge #209. This card was in Top 3 in the challenge. |
My card for Altenew September Challenge. This card was one of the winners in the challenge. |
Today I am back with two cards that I made yesterday. Started with a card in mind for this week's CASE Study Challenge #209 and ended up making two cards with different colour themes with the same design. This week's challenge is inspired by Debbie Hughes and this is the inspiration photo.
I was inspired by craft card stock and white colour. |
A few days ago I made a card with these Magnolia stamps by Altenew. I water coloured them with distress inks. I wasn't quite happy with my colouring so I kept practising and tried different colours and shades. For both of the cards for today I used Antique Linen for the main colour and added some shading with Gathered Twigs and Rusty Hinge. I also added a little bit Perfect Pearls for the water to give some shine. My card base is Neenah Desert Storm card stock and I die cut a frame using a die from Spellbilder's Nestabilities Distress Edges die set. The branch die cut on the back is a die from Memory Box called Blooming branch. On the background I used some old hand made paper which I can't remember who's made it and where. The sentiment and the little dragonfly are from a stamp set called Wildflowers by Technique Tuesday.
My second card is basically the same as the first one but I used Memento inks: New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves for the branch and the sentiment tag. My card base is Neenah solar white card stock. I will enter the second card for Altenew September Challenge: From the craft room. The theme is Lime Lemonade. This is going to be my second entry for this month's challenge at Altenew but I can't help myself since I think this card is so much better than the first one that I made - especially my colouring. This is the inspiration photo for Altenew's challenge.
I was inspired by the background and and white, lime and yellow colours. |
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
